Well I've been watching the thread and all I can say its CRAP what The Phoenix say. I have been trying to help him here in DP and to get friends with most members but he just overdid this. Sorry dude you just cant handle your MOUTH here very well.

I appreciate that popotalk and a personal apology goes to you, if you noticed I did plead for the thread to avoid turning into a peanut competition. Problem is that the monkey's from phpLD did all the throwing, I just threw one back at them. It won't stop me posting here I'll just ignore the peanut throwers for what they are.

@britishguy, it wasn't a marketing opportunity matey, I have nothing to do with any script to market, I asked a legitimate question on whether you should buy mods or whether they should come already in place. The thread was going really well until certain people started jumping in and deliberately started to trash the thread with very weak answers and insults.

I'll keep asking this question and more now in determination of proving my point that phpLD's only strenght is the number of members it has with misguided loyalties. The attack on me reminded me of a cult in Waco Texas, it was as if everyone from a particular group came out of nowhere following orders to desperately save thier leader.

Ah well, the truth hurts, and the saying best form of defence is attack, looks like phpld realize they have an awful lot of defending.

 

For the record, my directory is an openld hack. I have no affiliations with phpld and absolutely no intentions of ever using it. Openld is a decent script but is very bare boned ... Which they tell you in an up front and honest way.

Any further directory I open or create for clients will be a homegrown code. As I am not really a fan of the way most scripts are written, modifications are unnecessarily difficult. If you want something that is not available publically in a hack (mod) it will take you an afternoon to work out (instead of a few minutes of coding).

Phoenix, if you've got skills ... make your own directory script. It's not brain surgery and you will be able to look at yourself in the mirror because you will not be riding on anyones coat tails.
