    HI

I have a site which generates above 1500 visits per day (from Google and Yahoo), we have been focusing on deep linking since we have started SEO work on the site. We have 30% links to index page while 70% are deep linking, and as our home page PR is still 3.

    My Q is:

now when we have to get position on any of new keyword (means we gradually add new pages and keywords) we have to do deep linking to that particular page for getting position. I think that if a site’s index page is strong that doesn’t need as deep linking as of a site which home page is not strong. Now I want to focus on home page linking and make that very strong through relevant back links. I think that once I got my home page strong then the new internal pages will come on SERP (at Google) without or a few deep linking bcz of strong home page. So m I right on my opinion, and its right that we should make our index page strong?

    many thanks

    Hi,

Yes you are right, but internal linking is not the only solution in making home page strong, you should have good content that should make user visit regularly in your website

    Thanks and Regards
