For having backlinks sites these should be related and from different IP addresses for best results. So it is recommended not to interlink your sites hosted on same server. By IP we mean a web server that may be hosting hundreds of others sites. Now most of the blogs are from a fewer platforms, including Wordpress, blogger and a few others. Each platform should have multiple servers (multiple ips). But a single server may host hundreds or even thousands of blogs. Now if lets say i posted on 100 blog comments for having backlinks. Out of which 40 are hosted on the same server, what will be its impact? Should it hurt? (like interlinking to my own sites)? Should wee take into account the IP addresses of the blogs we are going to post on? Please correct me if i am wrong for the above things to be considered for backlinking (related sites and different ips). Thanks!
I have personally not experienced having backlinks from the same server IP as being specifically detrimental, but it seems generally accepted that spreading backlinks across multiple IPs and domains offers increased value.
yea i mean if you make sure that all the websites have original content thats not scraped, and the links have varying anchor text, any negative effect of them being on the same IP should be minimal
just find relevant blogs and make some useful comments. you cant really do much about the IP distribution on free hosted blogs. besides, there will be not manny ocations where you will make 100 comments on 100 blogs and all or most will be on same IP. each server running a free host like blogger or wordpress.com has its limitation and can host certain number of accounts. they have range of IPs they use.
Blogs that have disabled the rel="nofollow" attribute in comment header links can be good sources of backlinks if used correctly.
I also luv comment luv sultanofseo's point on the likelihood of posting 100 comments on 100 blogs with same or even similar IPs is pretty small methinks
