Should this 8 year-old have been pepper sprayed by police?

    Not really, I know people with ADHD and it's not their parents fault at all.
    Sure, it's a high chance of being genetically transferred to children, but I don't see that as the parents fault.

    Sorry I worded that wrong.. Ok ADHD exists, what I mean is that too many bad parents now who have no control over their kids just say 'oh he has ADHD'.. It's B*******s... We had never heard of ADHD in my day, it just didn't exist as parents knew how to bring up children back then..

    It did exist, though people might not have reacted to it that much.
    I agree that you can raise a child differently. If you do it well the kid will most likely never cause any trouble, but ADHD
    is not something that is caused by bad parenting (even though it can worsen it). I have never heard anyone saying their kid has ADHD
    if it really does not have it, but it might be more common at your place, I dunno.

    It's common practice in the UK.. usually by single mothers on council estates!
