Should the US abolish visas between US & Russia?

What do you think? Has the cold war era passed completely? Does the US have complete trust in Russia now that democracy is well entrenched? Would the US benefit or lose by allowing easier travel between the two countries?

Should US allies such as Australia and UK have the same option?

ha ha ha sorry but UK Citizens did not need a visa for the USA but 9/11 changed all that, now paranoia rules the USA and everyone needs one. the UK is lucky we are an Island so we also check everyone has a passport or government id to enter the UK. people from outside the EU need a visa

I thought you were a Wikileaks fan. Didn't you read the cable where we describe the Russian government as a corrupt, virtual mafia state? As far as the "United States and Russia agreeing to implement a visa-free regime" -- I'm confident that won't happen any time soon.

I am a wikileaks fan. I didn't read that cable. However I did live through the cold war and seen many instances of not too friendly relations between the US & Russia. That's why I'm asking questions. Personally I don't believe the US is ready for such a move.

I don't see how lifting these requirements would be in our best interest.

Same. But if the trend is moving towards a one-world policy...it would start by democracies banding together...possibly to help break down the dictatorships?

Bushy boy your innocent trolling never ceases to amaze me . How old are you ?

Borders exist for a reason and it takes years of cooperation to melt them . Putin is working to make Russia the No. 1 superpower again not to be friends with anyone . Crushed journalist is a russian delight .
