Yes or No. It could be taxed and the prostitutes could be checked for disease but on the other hand it is morally wrong and is often linked to other illegal activities.
Who said it wasn't legal? A place just an hour or two a way you can buy prostitutes at a little place called the Bunny Ranch. Anyways I don't pay for ladys
What? lol no. At least not in the U.S. and I highly doubt canada. I'm pretty sure it is legal in amsterdam.
Omitting the issue of morality (as a rule, this is only a personal belief - what is good and what is bad), let's talk logically and do not display sanctimoniousness. In a civilized society where certain rules act, the law above all aimed to restrict the limits of the possible violence of one subject over another. This is fundamental essence of any law. Following this principle, any individual actions can be evaluated as legal or illegal. In a number of illegal are caught most of those actions, which cause a direct damage to other members of society. How would we like to stigmatize prostitution, but alas, if it is voluntarily from both sides, neither whose rights are violated, all parties are satisfied. One got another got The other case, when someone is forced to go in for prostitution. For this should have
escorts are legal. and you see ads on craigslist for girls giving it out for money. you just can't run it like a business, like a pimp and his ho's.
I think it should be regulated by a governing force -- provide daily STD checkups, a safe work enviornment, condoms STD testing on clients, etc.
I also think it should be regulated by the government or a third-body force similar to the way it is handled in Amsterdam. Get the pimps and lowlifes out that hurt the prostitutes, offer support to groups that provide education to those prostitutes that want to leave the profession and have the police protect the workers. Keeping it in the shadows is part of the reason why prostitution has so many problems right now. Notice that I am not commenting on issues like matrimony or infidelity. Those should be kept separate from the general discussion.
Prostitution is legal in most states in Australia, in my state (QLD), brothels are legal, but it is illegal to work by yourself as a prostitute (probably a safety issue). I pass 3 brothels on my way to work. They are located in semi-industrial areas. @ mimm, Why are you glad that most poll answers are no? @ pioneer1, It must be wonderful to live in an enlightened country, discrimination against gays upsets me. (I'm not gay btw)
No it shouldnt be legalised... In fact people who are into this profession should be employed somewhere else where they not suffer humiliation. In short they should be relocated and resettled
Humiliation? Yet they many times enjoy what they do. I find it funny, those who say it should not be have no real argument on why it should remain illegal. Curious...
