    Hi.
I got a site that doubled its visitors from G the last week (from 1000 a day to 2000 a day). And now suddenly the site is not indexed at all. The site is 1 year old tomorrow, no new elements has been introduced in 6 months, just edited some text and outbound links.
Does anyone here have a reasonable explanation on this ?

Not nice of G to give that birthday present  :D

Thanks for the answers, best, l.

How can we give a reason without the url? There could be a thousand reasons.

Good comment mad4, I am just not comfortable by leaving the url here, thats all, and by the way,
I am interested in all that 1000 reasons:)
Are there any changes in googles algorythm lately ? or has this happened to any of you ? I am thinking there must be some general rules or something that explains the ban, my site is not so special.
One thing, I do not link to many unrelated sites.

Maybe you were spamming, cloaking, had hidden doorway pages, massive duplicate content issues, maybe you are indexed but doing the query wrong.

Hey hold on. before the chemical of depression flow in your brain, wait and see.

Sometimes this happens with sites but then it gets normal. You can say this is a bad week only ;) and not a permanent problem

Thanks mad4, but none of the above fits my situation.

Want to add that I had about 2500 pages indexed.

Maybe I am to quickly depressed, but I have a few sites and have never seen anything like this.

Well, I hope for the best. At least it gives me a good reason to clean up the site a bit, get rid of some dead links and so on.
