Heh. I just can't say it. I'm afraid of getting severely reprimanded by

Sorry GuardianAngel but the thread title names Britney Spears. The OP is definitely talking about her and what she does to promote herself. My view is that while what you do is important, how you do it is even more important and who it may hurt is even more important still.

There are many other examples of effective marketing to emulate. Britney's success is based on selling sex to kids which to me is absolutely disgusting. The point is that she is hurting so many kids to achieve her success and it is ingrained in everything she does. So, why use that as the example when there are better ones.

    Be like Britney Spears?

What bald, not able to sing, flashing in public, drunk, nearly dropping kids, half dozen come backs, desperate for attention, out done by Christina in every way.

I think this thread should be closed... It totally strayed from the original post.

People stop wasting our time burry this thread. This is rediculous.

I agree, there are many other examples (maybe better ones), but the reason I used Britney Spears is that she is more popular than any of the other people. And I agree, it might be a bad example... but my point is still, when we look at the most popular people/ the people who are earning the most/ people with most success, what can we learn from them?

If the only reason why Britney Spears is the most popular is that she is promoting herself through sex (being way too sexy) to kids, then we might not learn anything from her. I really don't have the knowledge about this.

But, I think this thread is important and should not be closed. If you look at my first post, and stop thinking about Britney Spears for a second (think about any pop/rock star), maybe the same headlines can be used?

No worries. I am also a parent, and I understand you.

However, good marketing I believe is about getting popular, and talking about the quality of the product is a different issue. As there are tons of products that are not really useful but are selling very good.

And yes, I think thread should be NOT be closed as it is very relevant to the forum sub-category.

But I think what should be closed are the mouths of people around that has nothing relevant to the real purpose of this thread. If they want to want to talk about Britney Spears alone, then DP has a General Chat sub-forum.

    No offense though.
