I will buy a domain name but I´m not sure what name to buy for example, should I buy thebestwebsite.com or bestwebsite.com ?
yah, either way.. But you have to think also if you will remove "THE" it is more easy for the user to recall it. THE is just a stuff word in your domain name. let say i will be searching for a best website and results came out. While i'll be searching the best website same results as above will appear.
It depends on the way you work on the website , when i needed a good name related to SEO i used http://www.THEseoworld.com as my main site and it ranks now for many high SEO keywords So in short it depends on the way you can market it Good luck Amit
Search engines add some weight a domain name with keywords in it, but you should be focusing on what people will remember. Recall is the key. Using the word "the" will also reduce the keyword density of your domain name.
it doesn´t care too much if you don´t need the domain to rank well for certain searches. Anyways I bought http://www.thechosenlink.com
if you use "the" and your site becomes big in 9 months, you'll wish you had used the non "the" version. And if someone else owns that version, you'll loose traffic. Just a thought.. I would register chosenlink.com while it's still avail.
Use "the" only if the version without "the" is already registered. Domains names should be kept as small as possible.
looks like someone else registered chosenlink already. hey i don't really get your site. Here's a problem. 1. Imagine it really takes off and you have 1 spot left. The person who takes that spot doesn't get ANY money back 2. Now imagine there's two spots left. I want to buy a spot but I know that no one will buy the last spot so I'll also get NO money back. 3. Now imagine there's three spots left. I want to buy a spot but I know that no one will buy the 2nd last spot.... and so forth.. but anyway... I'll take a spot regardless. Sending PM now...
I would say that if you can, avoid "the" if possible. Like someone mentioned previously, if your site takes off you'll wish you hadn't included it. Also, the shorter the name the easier to remember. I know 'the' is only 3 letters but its a difference. Not to mention people may not always remember to put the 'the' in the URL. In the end its all in how you market the site. Not sure if I helped or not, but I wanted to throw my few thoughts out there.
