Should I use PayPal for my Online Business & Affiliate Money (India)

I'm almost finished building my online business and I'm quite unaware of the legalities and other issues that Indian PayPal users face when receiving payments. Other than Paypal, what other services would you say are good for running an online business from India???

Also I've this affiliate money coming from a foreign company very soon - will it be all okay if I direct them to send me payments (between $1-2K) to my personal PayPal account??

Appreciate your help a lot guys.

Edit: I read a couple horror stories of payments being reversed etc... so would really want to know what the real deal with us Indian users is... thanks again dudes :)

Helll no. I hate PayPal. Try a third party vendor that accepts and supports PayPal that will protect you.

The best option for you is to to wire transfer in case of affliate payments. Its safe and faster compared to PP.

The only fastest way to accept International payments is PayPal. However, follow all rules carefully laid by RBI and PayPal.

    Thanks for your responses guys!

@EGS: Yeah PayPal definitely sucks :D Btw how do you think I should manage the third party vendor type thing... have no idea about it :p

@Digital_shubhi: I'll look into the wire transfer thing :) would you say it's pretty hassle free to send money to India through that???

@ExDeus: Seriously dude... PayPal is itself a freaking scary thing to handle... if taxes come in between i'm scr3wed!!! :D

@nihangshah: You're right brother... even with all the issues, PayPal does seem to be a quick way for international guys to handle money transactions... I just hope PayPal/RBI etc doesn't scr3w me over because of the amount of money they send me ($1-2K range) and ask all the 'for what have you been paid for' questions when I simply have been doing affiliate marketing through link building for the foreign company.

Yes, there is no match of wire transfer with PayPal specially for transaction of more than $1K.
And its Fastest... even faster than PayPal. And yes you get better conversion rates in wire transfer.

Thanks again for the info shubhi! :)

I'm going over the RBI rules for PayPal if in case I can pull off the affiliate thing with it. However seeing that it might cause unnecessary trouble, I'm getting more inclined to have the money wire transferred.

Are there any good wire transfer company/websites that anyone can recommend?

Also, I'd made a Skrill (moneybookers.com) account a long time back - don't know if it's wire transfer or not but will it be okay to use that for receiving the funds?

You don't need any company to make wire transfers. Its done directly via bank.
Your affiliate company would do it. You won't have to do anything. Just provide them your bank details.

Use Wire Tansfers and Paypal both. Give Wire Transfers higher priority
