Should I use my £75 Adwords voucher?

My website is fairly small and only makes money from the ads there. I would never normally consider Adwords but now I have this free voucher I wonder if I should use it. Obviously I can read through it all but can someone tell me in advance if I should even bother. Will £75 make any difference?

Assuming you do not have a google AdWords account, there is also a £5 setup fee
Setup the PrePay Billing method, and this will use up the £75 balance, without any need to add any further funds

Setup one simple and cheap campaign, to start the following day
Use basic keywords, between 20 and 50
    Use one or two adverts
Setup low value Daily Budget at £0.50 per day and CPC at £0.25
Once you have done that, disable the Ad Group, this will force the CPC bid value to fall
Later that day (about 12 hours later) check the CPC bid value has fallen, and then enable the Ad Group
Monitor this over the next few days and this should give you two or three clicks, monitor the CTR
The £75 should provide about 300 clicks over 35 days, with those settings, you then need to determine the conversions this provided

It's really up to you. Adwords can certainly increase traffic to your site, though I think most people who use Adwords own sites that sell products/services as opposed to only generating money from ads.

This is only practical (using google AdWords with affiliate programs) if the affiliate links generate more income than the cost of the google AdWords adverts
As an example if the AdWords adverts cost £1.50 per day and generate (additional) commission from sales of £40.00 per month, then it's not worth it

However using google AdWords increases the ranking of the website within google, so even with a basic low cost campaign the benefits are well worth the small cost
A trick here is to use irrelevant terms, as there is no point promoting your website where it will already be found
