And if you needed an article on a dreadful disease like cancer? :tee hee:

On a serious note, a competent writer can write about any subject. But if you can get a 'writer' who has intimate knowledge about photography and who is also a photographer, then consider yourself to be fortunate.

I would think it might be hard to find an experienced photographer who is a good writer. but if you can find one great!

As mentioned above, a good writer can write on any subject. Especially with the online resources these days just about any subject can be researched and written about easily.

I would aim for a writer who has photography for a hobby. Your chances would be a lot higher to find one of those :)

I guess I have it easy. I am the kick ass writer in the family, but my wife is a professional photographer :p

It depends on what type of articles you are looking for. I would go along with the fact that a good writer should be able to provide good copy but articles written by a photographer will have that ring of truth that someone who does it can bring to the table.

yea thats a tough one... im a photog and thought about hiring a writer but with as much much that a lot of photographers have that may find themselves reading these articles it would be tough to kinda fake your way through it i think.

well i guess it depends on what level of photographer your aiming towards... if your demographic is beginning photogs then that might be easier to please than a serious amateur or pro photog.

The first question you need to ask yourself is "Who is my audience?"

If you are someone selling high-end photography equipment, an article written by a generalist would most likely be seen as fluff by your clientele. In that case, you might need to pair a photographer with a writer to get what you need.

If on the other hand, you have a hobby site or Adsense site, and you don't mind having topics that are covered by your competitors, any writer should be able to provide you with unique articles.
