Should I use Authorize.net for recurring billing?

I'm starting an online business that sells subscriptions to restricted areas of my website. I'm looking for a payment gateway that will allow me to do this effectively with minimal costs. I have found Authorize.net to be a viable option ($20.00/mo CC processing + $10.00/mo recurring billing + trans. fees)

PayPal claims to be 16% cheaper than 100 randomly selected payment gateways at $60/month(incl. recurring billing) + transaction fees.

I just want to make sure there aren't any payment gateways that I should be using that I haven't found.

Also, could someone tell me about their experience with Authorize.net?

    Thanks so much!

We use (and offer) a gateway called Network Merchants (NMI). It's significantly cheaper than authnet and has all of the features if not more. We had been using Authnet for about 5 years until we found NMI. It supports recurring billing for no additional fee and has a credit card storage vault for ~$5 per month if you need to re-bill customers for a different amount than the original transaction. Using a vault allows you to store customer card numbers with the payment gateway so you're not subject to the more strict PCI regulations that would be required if you were storing them yourself.

Authorized.net is Great for What You are Looking for. If You Look Here It is $15 a Month. You can also Sign Up Here as a Reseller and actually Come Out ahead for 2 Months. I Hope This Helps. Thanks
