Should I Use ALL Social Bookmarking Sites?

Discussion in 'Link Development' started by Ascendancy, Jul 2, 2009.

I have been mostly using social bookmarking sites to promote my newest blog posts, but I have been sticking to the more popular ones (Digg, Reddit, Stumble, Delicious) mainly anything above 5,000 Alexa ranking. However, should I be submitting to all social bookmarking sites including ones ranking 10,000, 15,000 on Alexa? Will those backlinks show any real difference in my traffic?

I'm just stick with the more popular one as mention by you. (reddit, digg, stumble, etc). I already do some experiment with my new website, in which one of it been submitted to more than 15 social bookmarking. Honestly, I don't found any real difference in my traffic.

You should try doing your own experiment on this issue to clarify it. I'm done my part and the result as been mention earlier.

Yes, it will make a different for sure, if your site is a new one. If it's an established one, you won't be seen any noticeable change I guess.

Better stick to social bookmarking sites that generate the best traffic. Bookmarking pages to less popular SB sites would be futile. Don't waste your time.

Submitting your website in digg will get your website indexed quickly in search engine.

This is what I would do -

I would choose some best 7 social bookmarking sites and work on them only. By, this I mean not only to place a link of the site, but to create a network of similar sites. Making friends, and bookmarking their sites also.

Because only when you have a good network you are bound to get better link juice and traffic from these sites.

Don't go for all the social bookmarking sites in the world. It's waste of time and money. Select the best ones and work on them. You will certainly see an increase in your serp and traffic if the story is good.

    Hope this helps.

I always submit my articles and informative posts to 10+ social bookmarking sites. No matter if you are not getting traffic from most of them but sooner or later those links will give you some traffic + exposure :)
