Hello Everyone, I have used these forums for knowledge for a long time but have never registered myself. Basically I want to layout my site overview right now and have the more experienced SEO publishers tell me their advice on possibly changing my current monetization system. Here are my DAILY average analytics. These numbers never really drop they have actually been raising everyday slightly: DAILY Traffic AVG: ~ 6,040 Visits ~ 4,100 Absolute Unique Visitors ~ 38,101 Pageviews ~ 6.54 Pages/Visit ~ 8:20+ Avg. Time on Site I Currently have only AdBrite running on my website and approving ALL CPM ads, and only CPC ads with over .25$ payout per click. I get about 100,000 adzone views in total on my entire webpage. Each page has 2-3 fullsize banners running. My Clickrate is extremely low at only about 5-6 clicks per DAY. This is why I mostly depend on the CPM but the payout rates are terrible. This is making me about 7-8$ a DAY on average right now. With all the loyal traffic I am receiving I feel like I should be making more than that but I come here in search of your help. Please let me know any suggestions on another publishing company to possibly use for a higher CPM payout. I applied for Adsense and will see if they approve me, which they should as my site has nothing to do with warez, adult, mp3s etc. Please give me any advice you may have and I truly thank you in advance. I have applied for Casale and Tribal Fusion today and hope to hear back from them soon. Also maybe you could give me advice on optimizing my Adbrite for my current statistics. Should I only accept CPM banners rather than CPC? Should I stop accepting all CPM banners even ones as low as 10 cents per thousand, and focus on more expensive advertisements? Thanks again for taking the time to read this guys. This site rocks.
Depends upon niche. Because Adsens is content dependent you might get celebrity related ads (low paying often) or financial services ads (high paying often). I have some sites where Adsense usually does 5 cent clicks because of the niche. Best way to find out is trial it, leave it on for a week, worst case scenario you lose $20 finding out Adsense is not for you.
Yeh. I recommend experimenting with some new websites and seeing what is going well and what isn't. Then you can disband the sites that are not going well, and maybe resell the domains you purchased or just drop them etc. The ones that are going well with income you can work on. If they are blogs, you only need to update them once a day, and that is easy when spending around 15-20 mins on them a day just writing a post. Do this on about 5 new websites, preferably Niche blogs, and you will start to notice an income over time. Keep updating them all daily, and you will see a growth of income along with the site you currently have. All the income adds up with multiple sites. Just keep it in the TOS and you will be receiving a $100 Adsense payout in no time.
I agree with pfitz, adsense put ads that is very related your site, and their conversion rate depends on it.. With regards on the other ptc programs, I dont know if they sincere with their ads. I have tested it they are not paying well.
You are making very low income out of your website traffic, do you mind sharing your URL? I will go with Google Adsense for sure, if your account got approved then go ahead and get rid of the AdBrite code and instead start using the Adsense code for at least a week, and hopefully you wont regret it
I'm sure you will have much better results with Google Adsense. I hope you will be able to make 4-5 times then what you have been able to make with Adbrite right now
It depends on the which niche you are in. Certain niche like insurance and banking perform well (high CPC) with adsense while others perform better using Adbrite. The only way to find out is to allocate different page within a site with more or less the same site statistic and compare it yourself.
There are so many variables to consider such as the niche, where the ads are placed, and how well they are blended with the content. Its best to just test Adsense for a month on your website to see the results. Then you can try changing the position of the ads and adding ad units and a search box for extra revenue.
I suggest you do try adsense. May be that will increase the income for you. Also, another option is to use both adsense + adbrite in your site.
Thing you need to do: 1: www.valueclickmedia.com for HIGH CPM REVENUE!!! 1-2 each page! 2: ADSENSE each page + link unit match your content. 3: CJ Affiliate lead offers and Pepperjam ads. With 3-4 month of testing you will be able to live with your website revenue! Good luck! a++
You should really test out Google Adsense yourself and see...because depending on your niche you could make a lot more.....
Alright everyone, thanks for all your replies. I converted my site to using Adsense rather than Adbrite and here is my average output after only two days. I am getting a much better CTR at about .11% rather than 3-5 a day. This is bringing my clicks up to about 40ish average (mind you its only been two days to average these numbers but I hope to see consistancy. The revenue has doubled as well. I wonder if valueclick is worth comboing on some high volume pages since I have so many impressions daily?
