What results in lower cost per click: 1) Using one or two keywords 2) Using a large list of keywords 3) Using a large list with Broad, "Phrase" & [Exact] Match I am trying to lower my CPC as much as possible, and don't know whether i should use a large list of keywords for each ad group (which i obtain using google's keyword tool), or just use one or two targeted keywords. Can anyone advise? What i am doing now is using a large list, and then doing the Broad, "Phrase" & [Exact] Match by using the adwords wrapper tool found here: http://www.mikes-marketing-tools.com/adwords-wrapper.html Let me know what you guys think.
I will say first take out some good keywords than do research on them and use most searched keywords so your adds get displayed more times and get chance to get more traffic and sales .
Start with a small keyword set, find what works and then build on it. The days of loading thousands of keywords into brand new accounts are long gone.
The best is to use a list of of about 500 - 1000 keywords to start and you really only need broad and exact matches. Phrases is not necessary unless you need to control costs or your in an industry with lots of junk traffic.
