Hi everyone, I have been using mac for a while now. I think is awesome as is right now, but they say Snow Leopard is way faster, gives you more free space and all that good stuff.. Should I upgrade to the new OS? is about $40 I think

I've upgraded 4 machines and love it. No major changes, but it has been snappier and I like the new expose features.

I bought the upgrade CD for $30 from the local Apple Store and it's running faster than Leopard 10.5.8. For more information why we should upgrade to Mac OSX 10.6 Snow Leopard, better read Pete Mortensen article

This upgrade is cheaper than they usually charge. Is it just a minor one?

Apple said Snow Leopard is an evolution not revolution that the reason SL upgrade is cheaper than usual. The most important thing is SL is fully 64-bit, and I tested on my MacBook

    startup 14-16 sec
    shutdown 4 sec
    restart 22-25 sec

You can 64-bit application of new Mac OS Snow Leopard . That means it supports more RAM , and graphics intensive applications . So upgrade to Snow Leopard is recommended .
