There are a lot of fake reviews nowadays so i wouldn't count very much on these sites. There are exceptions of course. My advice is review sites to be like on of the last parameters to look when choosing hosting.

Look for established forums with reviews of the provider you are looking for or sites such as https://www.trustpilot.com, http://ratelobby.com, many web hosting companies will have reviews up there which are lightly monitored and not as biased as other those bought out review sites all over the web to make EIG hosts stand out.

Forums are also the great place to post their fake recommendations for most paid forum posters, whose content is always similar - something like "I heard some company is a good, but another has better prices, which would you recommend to go with?" :)

Not necessarily. You should be smart enough to be able to go through those forums and find legit reviews from old time members, comments, etc. While you can't guarantee everything is 100% true you can get a pretty good idea of how reliable they are.

The sad truth is that you just need to figure it out for yourself. There is plenty of honest advice out there, but no way to tell the difference between good and bad advice until you've been around the proverbial block.

They have more than just 5-star reviews. Also, I have heard great things about StableHost.

Why should any hosting company has a setup fee for their services unless they offer a dedicated servers?

do not trust reviews, develop some kind of sense to recognize fake or true reviews. Then spend only money you can afford to loose, do not prepay long term, backup your website to stay safe and be able to switch provider.

    be happy )

Have you ever felt compelled to write a good review? Have you ever felt compelled to write a bad review? More people whinge than give a good reference that's a fact. You're much more likely to shared bad experiences. If you have a better host than your competitors, are you sharing that fact with them?

You have to realize the big sites pay for there placement and the smaller family own webhosting business's can't afford to advertise on every review site that pops up. You can go by review site try out is the only option keep you present hosting for 30 days while you try out the new hosting. all that needs to be done is pointing the DNS from the Old website to the new website and back again if your not happy and want to cancel.
Don't fall for the O they are top on all the review sites. Join them like you were a webhosting business and you will see they offer top billing, higher rating spots for pay, if they don't they are OK to trust.

Obviously you can not trust every web hosting reviewer, but on other side you can not ignore them 100%. you have to follow any reviewer to save your money. I personally use hostgator, cloudways and eukhost. I love eukhost service. They are cheap and best hosting provider with best features. I always use eukhost coupon to get best deals of the day.

I would suggest you that you should survey the people reviews before selecting the hosting provider .But some other factors should also be considered like google rating, offers and customer support ..
