Recently, I got some information about targeting the typo keywords, and I have some questions about this. Because when you type in Google with a typo, Google will automatically correct your typo, is it still worth to target on these typo keywords? thanks
I think it makes more sense to just go after the properly spelled word. For PPC purposes, covering typos is part and parcel of the game, but for SEO, sticking with the actual keyword makes more sense, unless it is a situation where the typo is searched for nearly as much than the properly spelled words..
yes its worth it to go after those typo words. As long as the typo is relatively close to the correctly spelled word than it is worth it. Google does suggest the correct spelling if someone types it in but that doesn't mean someone always takes advantage of this feature google offers. Typo words also have wayyyy less compeition and they are easier to rank higher for. I have typos on almost all of my sites and most of the typos bring in some unexpected (but much needed) extra traffic. I wouldn't focus too much on the typos but they can forsure bring you some extra visitors to your site.
Thanks all, I did a little more research, and found on some would go for this and some would have some concern, but overall, it looks like it's worth to give it a try, but not put too much focus on this. According to the below article, it says put typos on meta tag or ALT might be a good tip.... http://www.searchengineguide.com/stoney-degeyter/typo-seo-is-a-no-go-unless-you-know-the.php
It can help you to have more traffic but i don't suggest you to insert wrong words on your website hopping to have more traffic .
depends how much traffic the typo gets. I know someone makes good $$$ from typo domains. They are typos of a major brand, and he just shovels the traffic to their own page via his affiliate link. It only really works because they do a lot of offline ads, and is almost certainly against their t&cs if they spotted it...
