Should i take it as my website is improving in SEO?

    Hi guys I am running a website. I wrote a lot of content on it and then did some backlinking. Now it has 100 unique visitors a day. To check the progress of my backlinks, I used to write the url of my site in google and press enter. It initially showed 200 results then improved to 2000 and now when i write the url in google search it say 9000 results. Does it mean that my website is improving in backlinks (or SEO)?

    You don't check the backlinks to your site this way! Go over to majesticseo.com and input your site to see how many backlinks you have. With the method you used you can see actually nothing... if you write "site:www.yoururl.com" you can see how many indexed pages you have in google search engine. but thats all! there are other ways to see stuff. google how to search etc.

    more results would result in higher chances of your site being found by a searcher. so yeah its not bad.

    I have done backlinking from highly ranked article directories like eaines, squidoo and hubpages etc. Digg is also one of the contributors among these. I have also optimized the content on my site in a pro- Seo manner.
