    I stop submit my sites to directories. most of em are useless. Only few have good PR and traffic.

    From my experience you should continue another 3-5 days and per day have to get more than 100 back link then your site is perfect to other people. Happy ending.

    Important to whom? Very few directory links have much if any value now days; unless of course someone wants to stroke their ego by sharing how many total backlinks they've acquired.

    It's hard to be intelligent and to make thoughtful posts for these guys
    who are trying to meet their daily post count quota.

    I seems to me that most of the times they simply don't care that people
    will think about how stupid they are as long they can score another post.

    As i am seeing that you told you submit your website in 500 directories. So first of all you have to check the quality of these directories like PR, OBL and cache..and i think you have to submit your inner web pages to all the directories and atleast 50 directory for a single URL..
