Taking into account that Google seems to like "mature" or old websites, do you think its a good idea to submit a domain name to google with little or no content? I have some plans for domains in the pipeline that will be worked on in about 6-9 months time. I have the domain names registered, should I submit them to Google as soon as soon as I can OR should I wait till they have content?
There is no point in submitting a domain which is not ready. If its just for crawling, then it will get crawled in 6 - 9 months anyways.
I don't think you need to submit your domains to Google these days. Only building backlinks for your domains would work perfect and would get PR and SERP also.
You can have a simple welcome page or something like that. That way when you are ready with the website, it would be already indexed.
You should write a short article with the keyword you will be targeting and submit the domain to google. This way Google will know that your site/domain exist and have an idea of what it will be about. Its better that doing nothing. Look at this thread http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1604304 he got PR just for having the site.
I think better not to submit the site till you have the contents ready cos whatever pr you get will be temporary as you will change the content drastically when you start working on the site.
Yeah, don't submit your site to Google, it's a wast of time. Go grab 100 social bookmarks for your site. Build up some back links for your site and you'll see it get indexed faster.
No. Wait until you have content. Remember that when you create content it has to serve the needs of the reader as well as be indexable. But it's the reader who's going to put money in your pocket. Without content, Google cannot index your site, let alone know where to rank it. There have been cases where people who did very well with their website, made all the money they wanted, then sold the domain name off to someone else. Before the new owner added his own content, he might still get left over traffic from the first owner. But those situations are different. Once you have quality content available, you're able to attract readers. Then you start building backlinks, i.e. pathways of traffic to your site. You can do that with article marketing (best method), social bookmarking en masse, sending out RSS feeds, social networking, JV giveaways, forum marketing, classified ads, etc. Twitter. You may have to do a combination of these. If you're going to ask for traffic, might as well build a list and capture the traffic you do get. Build a relationship. Provide valuable information. Promote.
"Submit"? None submits sites anymore. Build a few dofollow links and you'll be indexed within a week.
