If you are so lost that you don't know where to start I would suggest a blog. Blogs offer an easy to use interface and setup. They gain weight fast and can be changed quickly if you decide to switch direction. Furthermore if you start feeling comfortable after the blog, you can then create a website and link to it from the blog.
That would depend on what you want to do/start. If you don't have an idea of that too, then start a blog and in a few months you will know what you want to do or what interests you more.
Yes as said above depends on how you want to use it? are you selling to business or personal etc, perhaps you could have a web site WITH a blog and cover both angles ?
i thing if you have started now to make your website and if you are beginner you should start with blog,then if you think and create your businnes to change it to website .!
Depends on what you intend to do... If you want it CMS-based, then its best to go with wordpress or blogger. Also, depends on the frequency of updates. My personal opinion is that a blog can be monetized better...
I would be able to give you a better recommendation had you stated what your blog/website was going to be about. For some genres I'd recommend a blog and others a website. However a blog and website are completely different. If you want to write stuff on a particular genre and get your opinions out and to share information I recommend a blog. If you go with a blog, I recommend Wordpress for software.
