I'd wait til you are done developing it before officially launching and promoting it. Last thing you want is for visitors to be turned away by incomplete features or sections of the site

I agree... definately dont start spending money to promote it before it is complete. You dont want to drive potential customers and have them be dissappointed... On the other hand, its never to early start doing SEO and work on building back links. Good Luck!

Ya, I agree as well, better not promote the under developing site first.
You will lose potential customer and future repeating visitors as well.
1st image is very important, you must make visitors feel good to your site during their first visit.:D

I agree with everyone. I would wait until everything is 100% complete until you launch ANYTHING!

I suppose u shouldnt loose the reputation of your site my promoting before when its not yet finished. Once you finished creating your site then only promote it and create various page links so that you can be benefited the most...,.

Unless you have a good reason to send people to an unfinished site (such as promotions, asking for remarks, actually using your first surfers as testers and such), there's no point in doing it, because people will see an unfinished site.
It's not very impressive and they just may not return to it, nevertheless recommend it to other people.

    Good Luck.

I think you should wait too. A first impression is huge on the net. I can't recall a single time I went to check a site that wasn't finished the first time I checked.

yea i agree you should build your website first and then start promoting because if some visitors turn up and if your website is not complete then they will be turned off and the worst they might never turn up to your site. So its better to finish your website first and then start promoting it.

From my experience I'd wait till you have atleast a complete website, but leave room to build on it too, return visitors love new additions. Start building your back links and such now though, it won't hurt.

Backlinks dont discern between a site underconstruction and one that isnt.. I would just build backlinks ASAP.
