Over the passed week or so, I have been taking an inventory of all the things that I've got going on on the web and one conclusion that I have come to is that I own a heck of a lot of domains that are sitting idle doing nothing at all except sucking yearly registration fees out of my wallet I have dozens of domains that the only time I ever think about them is when it is time to renew them and I find myself wondering if the domain name is cool enough to hang on to in case I ever decide to do something with it. I've sold some of them, but to honest, the whole process of selling a domain is more trouble than it's worth if you aren't at least making $100 or more. I have decided to either stop renewing these domains or truly make an effort to do something with them. I have about 20 really cool domain names that have anywhere from 6 to 18 months left on their registrations. Do you think that instead of just letting them sit, I should start a blog network, where other people could make use of the investments in domain registrations I've already made? I'd really like to hear your thoughts.
Depends on your names. Blogs need genuine content in order to be profitable and you won't be able to generate good content for 20 blogs. Another option is to set up 20 BANS, this will be less time-consuming and more profitable if you know how to drive traffic to these sites. Can you PM me the list of these "really cool domains"?
I wouldn't start a blog network just to make use of spare domains. Only start a blog network if you want to have a blog network (and have ideas to make it better than the current blog networks.)
if the domain name is not good for a blog, how about do links directory? it can generate more incomes though. -cypher.
Set up some auto blogs on the domains depending upon the niche, Buy in some cheap PPC traffic and make money with adsense. Later you can also sell these domains
Tell me what they are so maybe I can buy them. Apart from that networks take time. Like my forum... You gotta be patient and have LOTS of time and fresh handslol
I had always wondered how people maintain a huge blog network. Is there any kinda script or something like that, which automatically handles all the blogs. I too have quite a lot of dictionary and premium .IN domains lying around, would appreciate if somebody guides me through. Thanks
