should I spend my adsense earnings on advertising my sites to get more revenue

    Hello,
I have 3 dating sites and earn about $100 per month. I am very happy about that money because it can pay for my hosting and domains.

Should I spend this money to advertise my sites? because I want to spend some money on advertising my dating sites to earn revenue.

If I spend that amount of money to advertise, like Google adwords, yahoo, then do you think I will earn more?

    Please give me advise.
    Thanks.

I would reinvest the money and try to grow the income.

adwords is like gambling, but with one insane advantage: once you figure out how to win, you'll win over and over.

you need to find something you'll get an ROI on. if you don't think you can get an ROI, definitely do not bother. expect to lose money before you find the right combination of strategies to actually get an ROI, though.

yes reinvest, not sure adwords would be the best route though as dating is probably a pretty expensive word, find lots of cheaply priced words that are relavent and use them

Me too, I would spend on advertisting, If i have more money i would buy more inbound link. One day, it will pay off as the money will start flowing when i sleep too if there's more people visiting the site.

What is the good advertisement? Adwords? yahoo? inbound links?
    Please give me some advise.
Right now, I can earn $100, if I spend this money, do you think my total adsense should go up to $125 plus my average $100 = $225???

    Thanks.

I just got to the point where my adwords cost is covered by my adsense income. So everything I make from cj is profit. It takes a while to fine tune adsense to get the most clicks at the least amount of cost, I am paying about 6 cents on average.

You could also use a different and cheaper ppc program then adwords!

I spent some of my earnings on adwords, and really I don't think I could have spent it better any other way. Got huge rushes of traffic, and when I took the add offline, the traffic continued, thus did the clicks. Definately worked for me.

    Hi Jenny

No the formula is for every $1.00 spent on advertising you shoud see $0.25 return. In other words if you spend $1.00 it should return $1.25 in sales.

Now this is just an average mind you...some do better...some do worse.

Definitely look at other forms of advertising Adwords is good,,,Yahoo cheaper,,,MSN is cheaper but less traffic..

However every sale counts and MSN being not so crowded... seems to drive a more targeted buyer... as does Yahoo in the $20.00 to $100.00 price range of products.

Do some SEO and grab some free traffic as well.

    Peace

You may want to think about buying some vouchers off ebay...got some off ebay.de which were £10, and they gave me £35 credit. Quite good if you ask me :D

Keep us informed...I'm thinking to do the same.
I do not pay for advertising, just traffic from major search engines but I'm thinking to put some money on it...I guess on Yahoo...

Yes, advertise. To this point, I've been having little success driving traffic to my Adsense ads from Adwords...yet much success driving traffic from YSM. But who knows, that could always change.

    I have to agree with Sem-Advance ...

Over the past 4 months I've kept an almost consistent $1 spent on AdWords brings in $1.25 in revenue ... meaning I'm earning 25-cents for every dollar spent.

Which I guess looking at it at small numbers might not seem like a lot, but think about this example:

If you Spent $4,000 on AdWords(or advertising) for November, you would PROFIT $1,000.00 ... $40k = $10k profit, etc. etc.

But make sure you track this as there is a point where you will actually start to decrease your ROI.

I actually took a gamble last month to test out the theory ... I was doing pretty well and thought I'd try to add one more website to the mix ... I went from $1.25 to $1.05 that month just because I added a new website into the mix. Therefore I tried instead to allocate that advertising money out equally between my current websites for this month and so far it has jumped to $1.30 ... a 5 cent increase ... not too bad at all.
