What can this caching do to an SMF site? We are on a VPS. Should I set the caching to "NO Caching" or Level 1 Caching? I just want to make the forum site load faster.
The highest is 1, next is 2, then 3, but after Level 2 and 3, it says (NOT RECOMMENDED). @Fishmania: How to clean up the Cache? Which table of SMF should be emptied? Will it be done through phpmyadmin?
I didn't see that. Here are the options: Optimize all tables to improve performance. Check all files against current versions. Find and repair any errors. Recount all forum totals and statistics. Empty out unimportant logs. Convert the database and data to UTF-8 Where is the cache cleanup there?
Thanks fishmania. I do it every other day, but the forum site is still very slow. Im on a vps already with 768 ram.
