Should I sell my site?

So I have suddenly found myself a little strapped for cash and am debating whether or not to sell my blog. It's a high traffic website and has a #1 spot for the keywords "tumblr theme" and "tumblr themes". Tumblr is the most popular tumblelogging platform these days.

The blog is PR4 and had almost 90k pageviews last month with traffic quickly growing. So my question is should I sell it or hold on to it since I know for a fact it would just keep growing and growing. I have a certain figure in my head and if I can get said amount, I'm very tempted to sell.

What does everyone think I could get for it? Be nice, this would be my first sale.

Post it up for sale and see what is the price you get..

People look at revenue, age, traffic, and content.

 

I was about to but I need 25+ posts to be able to post in the buying/selling section. Even better since posting here could sort of give me an idea of what people think. I honestly don't want to sell it but the money is well needed right now.

 

Maybe you could just get a loan? Your site can still earn you lots of money in the long run.

 

Yes why don't you try cpm adds programs if you have received 90k pageviews , you can earn good money my friend .

 

I tried AdBrite but had no luck. The highest big I ever had was 0.05 cpm which needless to say was very discouraging. I ended up taking it off and just using Adsense which isn't THAT better.

 

Sir can you tell me your niche , i cant believe this , go to adsense and other programs thread you will find many programs pay $1 to $2 for 1k pageviwes . You can check my signature link to . I have a blog on tech niche and i hardly get 700 pageviwes daily and my earning is $1 to $2.5 daily by adsense .

 

See, this is what everyone tells me. I just don't get what I'm doing wrong with the blog. I am almost embarrassed of my Adsense earnings. They're absolutely terrible. And yet the blog has awesome traffic and a lot of new SE traffic from Google and more than 200 feed burner subscribers.

I just don't get it. What am I doing wrong?

Try using another ad company, affiliates, etc, There are many ways to accomplish good earnings.

I would say hang on to it until it is at least a year old then start thinking about selling it.

 

In my opinion, you need to work on the ad placement, highlighting "the best" themes in a innovative way would work wonders

 

I think you have not read the tos and faqs , we can not make spam and creat bump relies to bump post , this will ban you .

I am not able to find any adsense adds on your blog , first design good adsense theme for your blog buddy , you can not earn money from such template you are using right now .

Hi i just visited you template , buddy in sidebar i am able to watch only one banner add nothing else , use Leaderboard (728 x 90) format at top and One Medium Rectangle (300 x 250) between you post or at the end of post and in sidebar place text links add no one goes for images . May be this setting can increase you earnings .

 

You know what, I might actually do that after all.
