I've submitted my site to several directories with a .net URL, and I recently acquired the .com, do I need to resubmit my site or does it not matter cause the .net will redirect?

if ppl notice it they wont accept it, if the title is the same, and submit to same category, then it wont let u, so just dont bother.

Not sure I fully understand your question, is it that you now have 2 seperate URL's one a .com and one a .net

If that is so, then you have 2 seperate sites is that correct?

If so they will need to be promoted seperately, so in that case you will need to submit the new .com also

But as I say I did not fully understand your question :)

    Both are different urls/site..

You can create 301 redicted on your .net account to redirect it to .com..

If it is just one website then you do not need to submit again. I got mirror sites and I do not submit the mirrors to directories as it would defeat the purpose. Unless you can dropping one variant of the domain name, I would not bother. However you could consider submitting to search engines especially if both the domain names are hosted on different host, ie like mirror sites.

I would contact directory owners and let them know of the change.
It would be better to have links directly to .com

depends on how many, trying to contact each sites that you have it listed to might be a big task. Let the redirect do its job and move on and submit the .com.

It's not a good idea to resubmit

Submit it and leave it go to the next

You should decide which one should be the primary url, and simply focus on promoting that, especially if you have a redirect set up. The .com is the best choice for your main url.

A lot of directories don't link to redirecting urls, they only want to see the primary one. So for best results you may want to contact some of those directories and ask if they will update your site details.

Don't simply resubmit a different url for the same website. Directory editors will think you are trying something dodgy, and may well dump your links as a result.
