The problem is that since I created my blog and added the meta tag, when Ever I search my site on what shows is my blog name and meta description. My posts are no where to be found. When I use this format to search site:url.com I see only my privacy policy page. Pls guys what I do? Should I remove the mata tags?
First, are you sure that you posts which you search is indexed by search engine? Second, in case of Google, have or don't have meta tag is not big problem. But if you want to rank high in other SE, like Yahoo, you must have keyword in meta tag.

Which type of blog do you use. Best for blogging is Wordpress and then you have plug ins for meta which then applies to all posts.
I don't think you should remove your meta-tags. Can you be more precise in ellaborating the problem you are facing??
The rootcause is not the meta tag, meta tag basically was being ignored by google You gotta find out the real root cause to solve your problem This happen normally due to new website or duplicate content
What I am getting from your post is that your are getting your index page in search results for your keywords. And, while using site command you are getting your privacy policy only. Well, this is not issue of Meta tags... I guess, the blog posts which you want to see in search results are not indexed yet. Create a good internal linking structure to get your other blog posts indexed soon.

removing meta tag will do no good. rather it is really essential for SEO purpose...and make sure your site is indexed.
