Should I redirect my URL?

    Hi,
I'm new here, but I'm hoping someone might have a moment to help me out. I have a website (Site A) that has been active in the past, but I've let it slide. It's getting some traffic, but not generating any leads. There are a fair number of incoming links and lots of outgoing ones, a good number of which I'm sure are broken.

I created a new website (Site B) - it isn't showing much on search engines yet. It is related to Site A, like the next generation of Site A.

I'm trying to figure out if I should redirect Site A URL to Site B. I'd like to get them both together.

Any opinions on what factors should be considered? If I do redirect Site A URL, should I do redirects on individual pages? Should I do a request through Google to have Site A URL removed from the index?

I have a separate URL pointed to the blog on Site A. Could I redirect the main URL, leave the site up and still use the blog URL?

I'm rambling, I know, so any insight would be really helpful!
