I have less than one month old site. I am still in the linkbuilding proccess, and everyday check google analytics. I see in keywords section, that some users came on my site through google search. So for example, analytics show they came on my site through ''how to jump from building'' keyword.(that keywords are placed somewhere in content of page, not in meta tags) If this keyword description continues to bring people on my site, should I put that in my meta tags - in description or keywards section, so it will rank better? So, should I add to my meta description something like "you can read on this page how to jump from building'' or should I add just at meta keywords "how to jum from building"? Hope you understand what I want to ask.
Hey Mares, you should focus on content. New unique content. And you need to understand that you need targeted traffic, not just some random fellow searching for a peculiar phrase
I don't think that inserting such a long phrase into the meta tags section is going to help. You should reserve that section for more important keywords and try not the overstuff your meta sections just because a certain phrase manage to bring in traffic.
If only you make money by traffic, in this situation you could consider to add keywords to meta tags. Vice verse, no doing it.
What you've found there is a classic and sensible way of wrinkling-out long-tails - and yes, you should build on it. Personally, I think putting it in the meta description is a good idea, or in a title - don't over-do it, but YES - use this knowledge - that's what things like analytics are there for.
Aha, ok. My site is affiliate so not making money by traffic. I am looking for and concetrating more on long tails keywords. I know it brings less traffic but the one I really need - thats one of my aims. Btw, unique contect is something most important and I think my sitre is pretty well in that. Hope, as the time goes by, I will get more interesting results from analytics, which are useful for site so I can optimize it by them.
