Should I put my topsite on my homepage or not?

I have a website forum http://www.rapavenue.com and right now there is no homepage ...it directs to the "/forum"...anyways I was going to put a topsite page on the homepage. Anyone think this is a bad idea as it may take away from the overall site? I just need more traffic and topsites seem to be the way to go right now.

Yes it's a bad idea. It's too much exposure for a link that will bring little traffic.

you would probably be better off (providing you really want a topsite on your site), installing the topsite in a sub directory (like you have done the forum) and do a basic homepage with a link to both the forum and the topsite.

I would make a splash page, with a link to the forums and a link to the topsites.
