Hi all. When it comes to writing articles and article marketing and on-site content. Is it a good idea to post articles to your own blog/site first and fully bookmark them and get it well indexed in the main search engines first for a bit and build up traffic with that content and its keywords but then post the same on-site article to article sites later on? Obviously sites like EA and some only accept unique content but alot of article dirs accept any article obviously so would this be a good idea do you think and is it a way of killing 2 birds with 1 stone? You can write articles to your site first, get them indexed and let people start finding it through keywords and search engine placement. Then after a while post that article to other sites with your links in it still or linking back to your site obviously. Also maybe edit them a bit. I'm thinking this because I'm having to write content for my own blogs for the search engines and I'm having to write articles as well. So this would half my time and I'd get double from the same thing. What are peoples thoughts on this and what say Google etc about doing that as far as dupe content goes? BTW dupe content is only counted if it's on the same site right? Unless it is on another site Google decides which one had it first. What I heard anyway but am thinking someone else must have considered this and can offer me some insight into it. Thanks. I guess I could just spin the damn things and go that way but I'd much rather write unique articles that give my readers something worth reading.
Thanks for your input. The site looks good just a shame it doesn't have a free version or a free trial version to try it out first. Thanks for your insight though I shall give it some more thought.
I would prefer second version of content for putting in article directories. You should not mention EA site in this case. It's because EA is a big company already and there is no negative effect if their contents would be published on other sites - EA domain itself has more trust than another ones site whom put their content on. Another example of this case is Ezinearticles. If Ezine and one site has a similar articles then Ezine will have a better ranking when people do search for an article. Even if the article itself has been posted on Ezine later and got indexed later than original site. Ezinearticles maintain their quality and discpline consistency for years since the beginning. Each and every articles will be checked throughly before being published on Ezine. That's why Google has a lot of trust on them If your site is not that big and authorized and you put the same articles on article directories, then you have a chance for some article directories to outrank your site by your content. Since the both contents seems similar then Google has to use another factor to judge instead of only originally.
I typically will publish on EZA first and then 5-10 other article directories. After all have been indexed, I'll post on my own site. There is plenty of debate with these topics, but no matter when you post them unless you have a PR 6+ home page, the EZA is probably going to rank higher...I'm ok with that although I do hope that my site growing in size ends up being treated as an authority site within my niche.
Out of curiosity, anyone used Content Crooner? How much better is it then the free version of Free Traffic System?
