Should I park my domains or it is better to create a "for sale" page? I have lots of parked domains with almost no earnings from parking and I thought that maybe if I create a "for sale" page on them I will sell them faster. What do you think?
In my own experience parking services were the great next thing in the early years of this century. Today is more profitable setup a mini-site that includes your for-sale notice, some good content and sponsored advertising.
This is depend on you. If you need money fast, then better to put it to sell. Instead, you can long term gain if your domain receive traffic by parking it.
I do not need money fast but I do not earn anything from parking, so.. A domain does not receive traffic if it is parked. If it had some sort of content, that will get removed from search engines index soon and if the domain is not some sort of sex.com, it will have no traffic.. That`s why I was thinking that a "for sale" page and maybe a few original articles related to the domain name can help me sell these domains faster.
I build autoblogs on all my unused domains and they get indexed, good PR, and Adsense clicks. Anyway, should you park your domains or create a "for sale" page? If they have no earnings, create a "for sale" page. This is just my opinion because when I end up on a parked domain, I just assume that the owner doesn't want to sell it. However, when I end up on a domain that has "This domain is for sale. If you are interested, please contact us." Then I know the owner wants to sell it and will contact them.
If the domain is not earning anything in parking, then it is probably not going to be of value to anyone on a direct sale basis, either. Domainers look for income-generating domains. Your best bet is to build a mini-site, or just drop the domain if it is truly worthless. Otherwise you are wasting your own money on renewal fees.
Often, it can take many months to sell a domain name. It makes sense to have the domain developed with a mini website that provides some revenue for you (to cover registration renewal costs) while you look for a buyer.
