i currently have noindex tags for my feed, category, and archive pages. but should i do the same for my homepage? Technically that is all duplicate content from my posts.

Here is why i ask. do a search for allure.com free stuff and my site is number three (free-stuff-finder.com). The problem is that is my homepage, not the actual post page. Well now that post is towards the bottom of the page since the time google indexed it, which means the user won't see what they want when they get directly to the page. I would much rather have the user find the page they are looking for. What are everyone's thoughts??

    thanks!

Little confused. Does that mean withought using their homepage? or withought putting noindex on their homepage?

Also, how do you know what all the other blogs are doing (not accusing, just curious)?

You don't want to "noindex" your homepage. I know you're saying that it looks like duplicate content but I wouldn't worry about it. You always want your sites homepage indexed.
