Really some persons have spoiled the image of an seo company. They cheat the clients and a genuine company gets losses. Tell the name of the company here.

Ahh, I really love how SEO works :)

And do you honestly believed them when they promised (or guaranteed) you that they can actually get you included in the Top 10 results? Any webmaster would know that if an SEO company promises guaranteed positions, they're fake.

When you have a bad service with someone - its best to alert others about the theiving service.

How much did you spent on this SEO company and on which keywords have you agreed on in which time frame. This is an interesting issue and would shred some light into the whole story.

Agree give them one last opportunity to respond. We have to police ourselves online and if people promise something and do not do as promised then it is fair to disclose. Do you have it in writing and if so you did your due diligence other than paying all upfront you could have asked for a hold back until they accomplished as promised. Sorry to hear about this as we all have better things to do then track down problem providers.

I've waited a few months now, but still willing to give them a chance. I've emailed them about 15 times, I lost the PayPal dispute as I didn't have enough documentation but I'm going back through all my emails and saving them off, so if they don't get their act together then I will just go with another dispute...just out of principle really. I won't name them just yet.

Yes name them and shame them, I had a similar experience I used a guy from DP for 3 years and yes he got my site to the top of Google and it bounced around, rarely getting any reports, then last August I noticed my sites dropping as well as the backlinks, so i asled him for a report when I checked the report he had lied, telling me he had submitted 100 articles etc, he had done NOTHING! So I gave him a warning and then in September he did the same again so I sacked him.

Now it gets interesting as he creates a site a miror of mine and targets the keywords, knowing Google gives new sites a chance, then when I logged in to my blog, I couldn't it had been hacked! After appointing a lawyer and a letter sent he stopped but now works for my competition.

    a) You were a wrong giving them a hard keyword. What did you expect? 'buy cialis' for $100? ;)
    b) Use services that agree to work on Escrow. Only confident seo people agree on that because they assume a part of the risk. They also charge more of course. :D

It's most of the time like this, people fall for cheap SEO services and expect top rankings for a small amount and they get very disappointed if the ranking is not achieved.

Good SEO services cost money as they make money for you through search engines and improving your website. When searching for SEO companies make a good background check, to see who they are and for who they have worked in the past. You can check how well established the company online is and this will give you a nice picture what they could do for you.

Not fall for cheap SEO services as this be a bad investment and most of the time no results at all!

Jazzcho. If you have nothing useful to add - don't bother. The point of this post is not what I "Expected" its what I was "guaranteed". If you have a quick look in a dictionary, you can see what both words mean and you can see how I know I've been scammed.

Basically what you are saying is....If you pay me $100 to write some articles and I say I can write them, you'd expect them right? So what your saying is if someone gives me a hard hard topic to write about it is OK to send them back a blank document and say "Sorry, that was too hard".

Let me know - as I'm obviously wasting my time on hard projects when I quite clearly don't have to do what is being asked of me.

By The Way. I've given them the chance to respond. When I got PayPal involved I had contact, they offered me one months SEO (although I guess that is not really worth much seems as though they did not do hardly anything in 3-4 months). I've emailed them today to let them know if they do not respond I'll name and shame.

    Thanks

In my view, before steaming in and ruining their reputation, send them an email advising them what you intend to do, if they do not rectify the situation or at least return part of the payment you made, then go right ahead and try and ensure they go out of business and then that will be one less scammer to worry about on the internet.
