When I said market myself, hopefully prostitution wasn't what came up to mind. But no, seriously, well my situation is this. I am currently 18 and am majoring in Computer Science. I have built relationships with people in entertainment (not any major celebs but just people who work with them), IT people and small business owners. I live in Los Angeles, California so I was wondering if it would be a smarter choice to market myself and get my name well known and increase my PR, than to get my websites well known. I could make 5-10 a day on PPC and CPM, but in the long haul, getting my name out might get me big offers in the future so I'm a bit stumped. I mean I would appreciate any points of view and maybe also scenarios or situations that I did not think of...there's no right or wrong answer but feedback would definitely be appreciated by me.
Few people in world know you. Decide the market you want target. It is totally depend on what to market if you want to get money out of your site then you should market you site. if you want to be well known then do something that catch attention of all audience in your targeted market.
If you wanna market yourself , I would suggest you to do in the term of business company. setup a company about internet marketing and keep promoting your site as the testimonial. then you can gain the reputation as teh best internet promoter at the same time. get more job from freelance site to increase your experience and portfolio. and when you succeed at some point use those experience and portfolio to apply for a job in a big company. that's they best way to earn steady income. good luck.
