Should I make spam report to my own site?

I had 500 good natural links to my site from different sites (checking it every day).
Somebody (I suppose my competitor who is angry at me but doesn't matter) has hacked other sites 2 days ago and now Yahoo Site Explorer shows more than 1000 links. I've checked new links - they all are in the same hidden div block.

I'm afraid that Google may penalize my site for these links. I'm already contacting webmasters of these sites so they remove these links
Is it possible to give Google a notice that these links are not mine so it could just skip them not penalizing me?

I have found "Spam report" form but I'm not sure - may be I make it even worse filling it.

What do you need to report for spam? Why would you report yourself?
If you didn't build the links, why worry? Send google an email then

But they are in hidden div (same code at all sites). That's not natural at all.

You need to remove those backlinks.... This is something which Google Webmaster Tool cannot do for you.

This is a typical hack attack that is done on CMSs with security hole.

Someone has injected a code in your website that contains malicious code (which is why Google has banned you)

Wordpress or Joomla or Drupal are too secure and loop holes only appear when you add plugins that are not checked for security.

    1. Remove all plugins for now else be ready for being attacked again. A hacker checks for its hacked domains again to feel proud. It will keep on hacking till you are secure enough.

    2. Install CMS Security plugins (some of them are good and available)

    3. Always keep a backup of content. There are some auto-backup plugins in Wordpress and Joomla.

    4. If your website is critical... always keep atleast 3 copies of your copy ready which you can switch whenever there is an attack

    5. Hire a expert (last resort) to secure your website

As you know this has been done to your website, deliberately .... You tell Google you don't want any credit for these links by placing 'nofollow' attribute.

Just read the blog to know what google is suggesting you!

Do you guys even READ what OP said?

Stop just spamming stuff to get your postcount up, PLEASE.

To OP: Yes, file a spam report and be clear. Contact Matt Cutts through twitter, he's nice enough to actually look into stuff if you point him towards it. TALK to Google about them discarding these links for you before the algo punishes you. I'm not saying it will, but if it does - it might be too late to convince Google you're innocent. :)

Very nice suggestion 'C.Rebecca'. I am totally agreed with C.Rebecca. You need not to tell Google right now. Just tell the webmasters to remove those links. And take sufficient action for preventing any more attack.
