Should I Link to Homepage or Internal Pages??

    I have a site I am optimising and wondered what would be the best way for seo

    the homepage has over 12 000 links and i have some post i would like to rank better but i have had a look at some site on page 1 of google for the keywords and most of them just have the homepage so am i right in thinking it may take me longer to rank internal pages.

    Is it better then to concentrate of having links to the homepage with the right anchor text or better for internal link? competition is 605 000 and "78 000"

    Internal linking will be better for future ranking. High internal ranking pages will improve your main page.

    You should link to both homepage and internal pages.

    Yes sherry, you're right. Internal pages are weaker than the homepage. So if keywords you want to rank on are very competitive, then link to your homepage with proper anchor. But if you're having 10, 20 or 50 keywords, use deep linking.
