Should I Let Google Decide My Bidding Rate?

I am new to adwords, in fact I signed up yesterday and I was not too sure about the bidding price for my niche and chose an option where google decides the appropriate bidding rate. Is it wise or should I specify my own rate? Please help.

I wouldn't use it. Use their traffic estimator to get an idea of the bids. However, be sure not too bid too much as it may affect your ROI. I shoot for a 100% ROI, so if the commission is $20, I try not to spend more than $10 in clicks per conversion.

You need to keep total control over your campaign. It is VERY VERY easy to lose and spend LOTS of money with google, and of course google works in their best interest.

If you do not have the time to manage and learn the adwords system, I highly recommend getting an account manager

Thanks, I am not using their automated bidding system now. I made a first sale within 24 hours, I am kinda excited now.
