should i invest in content to my site or content to submit to article directories?

hello,

after panda few sites of mind went little back in the search results.

each site have about 50 unique articles.

i wonder if i should write more 50 articles and put them in my sites or to submit them to article directories and get more links?

I think publishing in your website is worth than promoting someone else.

 

Let's define the problem.

Publishing on your site:
Pro:You bring in organic search results


Publishing on a article directory:
Pro:You get direct links back to your site

Are there any other Pro / Cons for each option? If you are committed to writing 50 articles, why not simply split them up? 25 in each.

I'm interested to hear what others have to say.

 

I agree with this or why not put the 50 original articles on your own website then spin them for another 50 articles to go else where.

What I did is put all those original content in my site. Then, spend some time to rewrite them and submit to article directory

 

first promote that old 50 articles to all high pr sites then write new article and promote

 

are the articles good? If so put them on your site and bookmark them - if they are less than good then put them on article directories. The Panda update was about quality of content - the proportion of content to ads is a big factor as is the user data - click through rate, time on page etc (I also suspect bounce rate is being used more as well)

You need to identify the problem. Submitting articles and adding content for the sake of doing something is like digging deeper when you are already in a hole.

 

for me it is more valuable to publish these 50 articles in article directories, get more backlinks and more visitor for the next day.

 

'Content is King', just keep this thing in mind.
Every valuable blog post / article improves your SERP rankings. So, publish best quality content on your website to derive the maximum out of your website.

After Panda update, article directories are losing their importance, also, Matt Cutts never encouraged article marketing.

Instead of article submission you can try with blogging.
Invite powerful bloggers to your website for guest blogging.
Also, you can promote your own blog posts with blog commenting.
It helps in expanding your audience base.

 

yeah, do both. good SEO is a combination of everything.

 

Why would you not want to invest in your own property ? Publish them on your site man, that's the best option. Then you can get them external links.
