Over the past week I've really been doing a LOT of keyword research for a subject that I ENJOY, Can Rank #1 in after a while, gets a lot of impressions. My goal for this blog is whatever the subject be to do a LOT of research and take the time to make sure every post is grammatically correct. I found a niche that gets 150,000 average impressions per month according to the google keyword tool. I can definitely rank up to the top 10 search results for that exact keyword that receives the 150k monthly searches. Not only this but it is probably one of the easiest niches to do research on, and I enjoy this subject. I'm already running a game directory and how to make money blog that do alright but I am looking to find a blog/niche that can be bringing me $20-30 a day. assuming this niche pays decent, is 165k monthly impressions enough to generate $20-30 a day in your opinion if I get ranked as the #1 search result, have great content, and blend my ads well ?
If you could get to #1 and have great content all that's left is tweaking ad positions/style/colour to find the optimum combo for your site. It sounds like you've got a lot of confidence and a good work ethic to get the job done, so I don't see any reason why you can't make this happen. good luck to you! Kevin
thanks the way I look at it, I can start using a free blogger blog and just backup all info incase the blog was shut down randomly (I never trust free sites that can take your site/blog down at will) but anyways I can def get to #1. It had 56 million search results BUT none of the results are strongly related to the search, and at the bottom of page 1 and on the second page the results have the keywords in the search phrase but aren't even about the subject. ALSO there are no sponsered results either.
+ if i get ranked on that keyword and can even start making $10 a day, I know family members I could pay $100 for 50 articles of 400 words on the subject, and they would be spot on and have perfect grammar so ahh I finally found my next big project, sorry to rant on lol just exited, one of those moments where things fell together perfect after hours of seemeless keyword research.
Well you also have to take into effect other things such as the websites that you'll be competing against to be ranked high in the search engines. If most of the top spots are dominated by high page rank sites than it'll be tough to get up there.
Depends on the niche, I have one website that makes about 190.00/day with only 1500 page impressions.
