Should I have Adsense Ads in the blog post?

My posts have no Adsense ads in the actual post. I do have one Adsense vertical ad in the sidebar of a WordPress template. Is it overkill to have it in both places or would you keep it simple with just the sidebar placement. The site is http://ecocrumbs.com. Thanks to all that reply!

I think you should add adsense ads inside of the post too.

    I am second that.

Add adsense ads (link unit as well as standard ad units) in single.php

    DON.

Why stop at Adsense? I try to use several ad networks on my blog. :)

The only problem will come if you decide to do paid reviews as a lot of companies don't want third party ads placed into their post, but I use Adman to disable the ads on these posts. :)

CTR in the sidebar sucks. Adsense in the content of the blog post is much better!

You can optimize your blog posts with Adsense, as long as you follow the 3 ad-block rule.

But of course, all of them will be useless of you're not getting your targeted traffic. Search engine traffic I mean...

If you are going to put adsense in your posts use a plug in this way you can easily configure them and turn them on and off. If you put them in manually you have a whole lot of work to do should you choose to remove them.
