I run a 5 month old bodybuilding site. Traffic, and the forum, has been growing steadily. Up to 600-800 uniques a day, at the moment. My question is this...should I turn this into more of a niche site...ala "Natural Bodybuilding" instead of being so broad? The natural bodybuilding realm on the Internet is poor, but in the general bodybuilding realm, the competition is strong and fierce. Not much would change on the site. Articles would go from "10 ways to build muscle mass" to "10 ways to build muscle mass for natural lifters." Do you feel I am in too broad of a market? I have a friend who start an Australian Bodybuilding niche site, and they are growing fast because there is no quality competition.
you should turn that into more niche site to make powerful and targeted visitor and see the performance of conversion rate on your site
Your nitch is bodybuilding. Regardless if its natural or not. Create a category of your blog on natural bodybuilding and a forum section. I think your trying to split hairs with this question. You have a growing community, dont change it up too much. People dont like change. If you want a forum section on natural body building, then add one. But I do not suggest that you try to redo your whole site when you have a working formula.
