Hi folks, Right now i'm working on a high-quality website for international real estate. It's http://www.globalpropertyguide.com/. I'm thinking whether I should continue the blog or not. I know it can generate some traffic, but I'm not too sure. The http://www.globalpropertyguide.com/blog/ is a real work in progress. But then again if you're into real estate, we got some real original stuff there (journalists check them out often). I'm kinda lost - got suggestions? Pls pm me, thanks.
If were talking about real estate, I would definitely recommend you continue creating useful and knowledge posts on the blog. It'll add authority, reputation, and branding to your site/company. This can be huge even if it only impacts one or two of your thousands of visitors. I've personally dealt with a real estate/contracting company myself, and they were very pleased to see offers coming in through the website I made for them. So, my point is that the little things can make a huge difference. And even if you don't make any sales from it, you still get that branding from your visitors. (Not only that, but it also will keep Google coming back to spider your site)
If its bringing in traffic, why stop? However, if you don't have much time, then rethink what you are doing.
Your Blog will open up new avenues to generate traffic and leads besides most importantly rankings if managed properly. I'd say let it be part of your overall marketing/PR strategy.
Blog will give you more traffic. So if you have fresh and interesting content for your visitors just continue on blogging.
Blog can give you leverage especially if you optimze it and keep it on-topic & relevant to your business oriented site.
Why get rid of blogging? If you want to raise your revenues, and traffic, blogs are very helpful. Ads and links in blogs are additional money so keep it up!
You should never give up on a blog! You can limit the time you spend on the blog if you think its not the right path for you, but there is no need to get rid of it.
