Stick with iPhone 4 if you love those apps. I currently own a 3GS, waiting for more stock in my area. Called up many times and still I don't get one. I use my phone for many reasons, even there is an antenna issue it doesn't bother me alot. As a right handed person I don't wrap my whole hand around it. Plus you get a free bumper by Apple.
That free bumper is to help the phone make a call. It was designed improperly. Its not the first time and wont be the last, but the bumper does not protect the front or back glass of the iPhone 4.
Thanx for the info. I myself was looking forward to buy an iPhone. the info in this blog helped ma a lot. Thanx again
I've got a 3GS and was eagerly awaiting the iphone4 as I wanted a much better Camera and when I read it was going to have HD Video I was sold! Thankfully they didn't have any stock when it first released and then I read about the reception issues and the so called HD Video is bad and the Camera isn't as good as my old Nokia so money saved and with OS4 on my 3GS I'm very happy!
i have and iphone, its really annoying that signal problem, i heard apple may be fixing it but thats just speculation i think
The Motorola Droid X is nearly as good. The screen resolution is inferior to the iPhone, but not by much. It is going to run Android 2.2, which is going to blow the iPhone 4 system away...
Yes! People are complaining and making such a big hype about the whole left-handed incident. When it's really not huge. People aren't dropping calls from it, they sometimes lose a bar of signal, and not all people experience this. And they have solutions for the problem already. I currently have an iPhone 4, and have zero problems with it. I always have signal, I've never dropped a call, and it's extremely fast compared to old iPhones. And all the new features are amazing! All in all, it's a definite recommend from me.
Wow this topic still has some replies going. Although the anntenae issue wouldn't be too big of a problem for me personally, I've still decided not to buy one yet. The next iPhone (4G I guess) should have these issues fixed so I saved my money.
i think, you should wait till apple mends its troubles and design. i would rather go for an olive pad. its a think worth buying and much better and techy than apple ipad with calling feature................
I agree with this person, I still can't believe they let the phone on the market and knew about the issue, as an iphone user I've lost a lot of confidence and trust in apple now. My 3G even starting to slow little problems and the phone has never been perfect it's crash a few times and taken me days to recover it.
If I didn't drive that often, I'd stick to my 3GS and get an iPad with a data plan instead. That said the 4G is wonderful. If you're used to a 3GS the 4G is much faster. The retina display is amazing for texts and email. Not had problems with the antenna. And I love the battery life on the 4G I used to have to charge my phone mid-day but now I can go for 2 days without touching the charger.
