Should I get a seperate domain for my blog

I started working on this blog and stopped for a lil while and lately I've been thinking about getting a domain name just for the blog itself. Being I got so many emails once I stopped blogging. What do you think?

Does it make the blog not looking important or professional when you just have it in a sub-directory?

IMHO having your own domain/hosting is better in long run especially if you want to monetize your blog. there are a lot of wordpress plugins which you can make use of if you have your own hosting. if you need more help, feel free and i can give you more pointers.

I always recommend having your own domain and hosting, more control over what your doing.

 

Have your own hosting with a blog. Its best to resell it if needed.

A domain is a must have if you are planning to take blogging seriously. You can manage without a domain if you are a celebrity of some kind, else you need a domain.

Don think too much on domain registrations. It costs just $8 a year. Place one ad spot on your blog and you will get more than $8 an year.

simple enough, if you want the blog just for seo let it be so, if the blog is your main goal GET A DOMAIN

 

I agree, it is best to have a domain. It is not very expensive and from my experience it's definitely worth spending on.
