I'm creating a website with high amounts of content. However, there is one section where the articles should be 100% objective. Now, personally, I hired a copywriter to do that section for me, since I'm not the best person to write that section objectively, because of past experience. My question is, should I admit that that part of the website was written by a third party in order to increase objectivity? I wonder because, this is how I see it: If I say it: It may or may not increase the sense of objectivity on the user end. But, will my readers mind? What if I lose credibility because I hired someone else to do that part? If I don't say it: The objectivity levels will remain the same, but maybe my readers will think is not objective because of my past experience? So, what do you guys think?
I think you should strongly concern with writer before every article. make him/her understand what is in your mind.
Pick one theme and stick with it. Readers will come back for that style of information. If you have a strong opinion, people will follow you for it. Or if you have a site that's objective, try and keep it that way. I can't remember his url but theres this guy in boston that is an abosolute loudmouth with a VERY strong opinion and people love it.
Well, I will edit the article to make it match the other parts of the website. I already spoke with my copywriter, but you can't really make someone copy your style and be 100% successful...
Too tough of a decision. I don't want to steer you in the wrong direction. I think you should get a pen and pad and write out the postives and negatives of each outcome and then decide which one. I think this will give you a better view of each decision and allow you to pick the best one. I could be wrong though. Don't take my word for it.
