With the recent happening and google going out to penalize sites that are doing link trades, i am very worried. I have been using tla for a while now. Should i be disabling TLA before my sites get hit also? The fact that goolge is frowning on TLA is obvious by the fact that it does not show up in the native search only for its keyword. Any advice?
I wouldn't (and haven't). But what do you do? I'm a personal blogger and very little of my traffic comes from search engines, and very little of that converts to even google, so I have no problem leaving it on. You may be different. What I would recommend is searching of alternative income streams. It's downright deadly putting all your eggs into one basket.
Google has removed tla for their own name in the SERP's. I just wrote an article about it on my blog today. It's probably too early to tell what repercussions (if any) may come to those who use TLA, but it is obvious that Google frowns upon them.
I think Google is mean, they want to put guys like TLA out of business cause they dont anyone to make money using an algorithm they invented.
hey ...if you notice http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=text+link+ads They have a sponsored ad though.
Lets use our sophisticated device called BRAIN. But first, let me ask you something. Is TLA the main income resource of your website? Are you able to handle the website without any income resource or with a lower income resource? Now, if TLA is the main income resource of your website and you have build that damn website to make some money online then why in the earth should you remove TLA ? Instead, why not decrease your income and invest 50% of the earnings that TLA brings to you to increase even more the traffic of your website and hence to increase also the price of the links you sell through TLA? On the other hand, if your websites main resource of traffic is Google than you should think and be worried OR you should think and build another steady resource of traffic (other than Google organic) and keep working with TLA. Chose the either way and you won't regret...because they both lead to the same point.
